Common Issues

Agent Not Responding

  • Check that the agent is active (not paused)
  • Check your channel connection — disconnect and reconnect if needed
  • Try sending a simple test message like "Hello"
  • If the problem persists, check the Thinklio status page

Agent Giving Irrelevant Answers

  • Start a new session for a fresh context
  • Be more specific in your request — give the agent more detail about what you need
  • Check whether relevant knowledge has been captured correctly
  • If the agent is consistently wrong about something, correct it explicitly so it can learn

Budget Exceeded

  • Your agent will inform you when budget limits are reached
  • Contact your team or organisation administrator to review budget settings
  • Administrators can adjust limits or request an increase

Long-Running Task Not Completing

  • Ask your agent about the status of the task: "How is that task going?"
  • Tasks have timeout limits — if a task exceeds its deadline, you will be notified
  • You can ask your agent to cancel a pending task: "Cancel that research task"
  • Try breaking large tasks into smaller, more specific requests

Unexpected Behaviour After a Policy Change

  • Administrators can change governance policies at any time
  • If your agent suddenly declines something it previously did, a policy may have changed
  • Your agent will explain why it cannot complete a request when a policy applies
  • Contact your administrator if you believe a policy is incorrectly configured
