Governance
Governance
If you're part of an organisation, your administrator sets policies that govern what agents can do. This might include:
- Which tools agents can access
- How much agents can spend per interaction
- What topics are off-limits
- What actions require human approval
- How many levels of agent-to-agent delegation are allowed
These policies exist to make agents trustworthy in professional settings. You'll see clear messages when a policy affects an agent's response — for example, when a request is declined because it would exceed the budget limit, or when an action is paused pending approval.
For Administrators
Policies are configured at the organisation level and can be overridden at the team level. More restrictive team policies always take precedence. Governance settings apply across all agents and all channels — there is no way for users to bypass them.
Cost attribution is tracked per interaction, per agent, and per team. Administrators can set budget alerts and hard limits.
